Our Rod’s team does once a quarter team outings. Since we do these events after hours and off the clock I always invite everyone's immediate family to come with us too and we pay for them to join our adventures. The events we do are chosen by the team and an agreed upon date that works for everyone. We really pride ourselves in TRULY being a TEAM. We also all value having time with our families outside of work

HOW DID I GET TO RODS? “I actually owed my dad, Rod, money out of high school for a car and I wasn't going to college. He had me do some marketing mail out letters and I am a hard worker naturally and I kept getting things done quickly of whatever he asked me to do. He said well.. You still owe me quite a bit so here now do this, ok now do this, over and over and then it just snowballed into the job I have today. I am extremely grateful to be where I am today, and I know my dad feels the same way because he tells me all the time :)”

     Service Advisor

HOW DID I GET TO RODS? "I was always interested in cars. I was working as a salesman at a dealership didn't really know what a service advisor was or exactly what they did. Didn't know there was that type of spot so I tired to get out of car sales and into advisor. Saw an ad on craigslist and applied and got an interview then they didn't immediately hire me. So I still just couldn't be a salesman it was very push and I didn't like it. So I went a HVAC and worked as a advisor for that. Then Brittany finally called me and that was what I ultimately wanted so I gave a month for the HVAC company and came to work at Rods on September 3rd 2019"

HOW DID I GET TO RODS? "2016 I moved to this country. I started my first job in 2017 with my brother. Then I got a call from my resume being on indeed. I had a little experience in Costa Rica of automotive plus I studied it there too. The dealership called me and brought me in for an interview. Started shortly after and the beginning was awesome. They were nice and seemed to care and sent me to training. I lived in Bellingham and was commuting down to Skagit every day. Saw a Facebook ad for an automotive job here at Rods. Wow look at this place oh they have hybrid stuff. I messaged them and got an interview with Jayson and Brittany. I was torn on whether to stay or leave. But I came to the interview and felt really good about this place. The interview was good. They sent me an offer and I put my time in. They told me I wasn't going to succeed but here I am more experienced than ever after over 2 years at Rods. I now don't have stress and anxiety at work. I've never been stressed coming to work"
